a. Live Related Liver Transplantation:

Replacement of a diseased liver due to chronic liver failure, acute liver failure or tumors within the liver. The diseased liver is replaced with a segment of liver from a healthy human donor (usually a relative or close friend).

b. Deceased Donor Liver Transplantation :

Replacement of a diseased liver due to chronic liver failure, acute liver failure or tumors within the liver. The diseased liver is replaced with a healthy liver from a “brain dead”human donor

Minimally invasive/Laparoscopic Surgery is a surgical technique which involves small incisions (Keyhole). The entire procedure is completed with the use of 3-4 ports (holes) with help of a camera to visualise the internal organs. The procedure is similar to open surgery except for small incisions. This minimal access surgery helps in early recovery of patients as they are usually walking around in a few hours after the surgery and can resume their daily activities in no time.
